SD CREW JULY CHAPTER RIDE – The Great Canyon Redo

If this ride looks familiar it should. Back in April we had to scrub this ride due to rain but this is too good a route to pass up. Come join us as we “Redo” our run through the canyons with a lunch stop at the Farmhouse Café in Santa Ysabel. We have a fuel stop 82 miles from the start if your bike is thirsty. If this is your first ride with us this year, please fill out a rider waiver, passenger waiver or minor waiver before coming to help save time. As usual, arrive with a full tank. Fun Fact: Just before reaching our lunch stop we will pass by Lake Henshaw off to our North East. Lake Henshaw was constructed in 1923 (101 years ago) with the building of Henshaw Dam, an earth dam 123 feet (37 m) tall and 650 feet (200 m) long. It is owned by the Vista Irrigation District and used primarily for agricultural irrigation.
