2024 – 2025

Dave "Moose" Barnes

President / Membership Director / Road Officer

Born in the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA as a Navy Brat. Started riding with friends at age 9 on the beach in North Carolina and got my first bike (Honda Trail 70) later that year. Moved to San Diego for my dad's Sunset Tour at age 11. Purchased my first street bike in 2003 -- a 1996 Harley Sportster 1200. My first Indian was a 2016 Roadmaster. I've gone back and forth between H-D and Indian, and I currently own a 2023 Pursuit Darkhorse Premium (Chula) as well as a 2023 Road Glide (Whitney). My favorite ride to date was to Eureka, CA including the Avenue of the Giants. Hoping to do Sturgis, Laconia, and Durango in the near future.
2024 – 2025

Dave "Professor" Timmons

Vice President / Road Officer

I grew up in Iowa and learned to ride motorcycles at 13. Moved to San Diego in 1981 from Minnesota. Purchased my first Indian motorcycle in 2018, Chieftain Limited and rode over 100k miles in less than 6 years. I purchase a Roadmaster Limited in 2024 and have taken several long trips on it. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of motorcycling with others, taking long trips, riding with SD Crew, volunteering at various charities and being a Road Guard with the San Diego Patriot Guard Riders.
2024 – 2025

Shelley "Raven" Alfaro

Treasurer

My dad taught me to ride when I was 13. I rode dirt bikes, dual sports, and even a Harley. After my 7th spine surgery, a friend suggested I try riding an Indian. I instantly fell in love with the brand! After a serious accident three years ago and another spine surgery, all I could think of was getting back on an Indian. I'm grateful to be able to volunteer and spend time with my children and granddaughter, as well as my Indian tribe.
2024 – 2025

Jake "Yogi" McDowell

Safety Director / Activities Director/Road Officer

I grew up in Orange County and moved to San Diego just 3 years ago for work where I work as a heavy equipment mechanic working on Street Sweepers, Sewer cleaning trucks and Hydro Excavators used County wide to improve and maintain streets and utilities. I have been riding a motorcycle just over a year but I have already put over 18,000miles in on 2 wheels and look forward to planning events and activities to build camaraderie and the IMSD family as a whole.
2024 – 2025

Honey "Shutterbug"

Photographer

Honey's response to 'where are you from?' is always 'all over.' With a history of living on both coasts, spanning 9 states and countless cities, she's finally found her paradise in San Diego, which she's called home for 16 years. A late bloomer to motorcycles, she started riding just 9 years ago and recently upgraded from a 2016 Chief Dark Horse to her dream bike, a 2024 Pursuit Dark Horse. Her most unforgettable adventure was a 2,600-mile trip to Durango, CO with fellow SD Crew members and friends. Honey lives by the mantra 'life is too short to be anything but happy,' a quote she credits to her late friend Dubbs. This philosophy reflects her zest for life and passion for new experiences!
2024 – 2025

I've been riding motorcycles since I was 16, old Honda Trail 90! Dad wanted to move to the Sierra mountains so I had a lot of time exploring old dirt roads and lumber railroad tracks! Currently riding a 2024 Indian Challenger, Previously rode 2001 Harley Electra Glide Classic, 1990 Harley, 1200 Sportster, 1983 Honda Sabre, and a 1973 Kawasaki 900. Yannick Paz

Road Officer

Proud naturalized patriot who bought his first bike a day before the Covid lockdowns. I then started riding with the IMRG family in 23, took the Road Officer classes in early 24 and haven’t given these guys a break since! This crew is as welcoming as an Indian bike, no learning curve, no drama, just cool people, cool bikes, cool roads, good food and a grand ol’ time every time we ride! Side note: I will gladly fix your computer…in exchange for cheesecake 😉
2024 – 2025

Ryan Umbenhaur

Secretary / Road Officer

Ryan is a San Diego native who settled in La Mesa with his family and runs an office as a financial advisor in downtown La Mesa. He first started riding in 2022 when he purchased a 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 to commute to work. After feeling he'd outgrown his bike, he upgraded to a 2023 Indian Chief Bobber (Belle). Ryan loves cruising along the beach and through wide open valleys on group rides, looking for the best foodie spots to refuel before hopping back on the bike.
